Given our track record in Retail Loyalty, it is not surprising that we are an innovator in one of the latest developments in retail – Shopper Marketing. But what is it?

Briefly the starting point for Shopper Marketing is to understand that the person buying the product is not always the same as the person consuming the product. We all spend lots of time and money identifying and addressing the consumer's needs, but this is only part of the whole picture. To maximise sales in any retail environment it is vital to address the needs of three key user groups – the retailer, the consumer and the shopper.

How do we factor the shopper into the equation? Data is the first step, understanding what is important to the shopper looking to purchase your product in a particular store or channel. But data alone is not enough – that is where retail expertise comes in. The key is taking the data and turning it into insight which can be translated into in-store activity that actually influences the shopper's behaviour during their shopping visit.
